April 25, 2013 – ConfigureTek addressed critical compliance challenges using HP Universal CMDB Configuration Manager during the “How to automate SOX/PCI breach detection with HP UCMDB-CM” webinar and demonstration. The event was attended by IT professionals across North America including IT managers, solution architects, configuration managers, senior technical experts, and IT analysts. The webinar poll results confirmed that the majority of IT Services teams struggles to give other stakeholders visibility into the data in UCMDB. The number of attendees from financial, telecommunication, technological, federal, and aviation industries shows the high priority of the efficient solution for SOX and PCI compliance in IT infrastructure.

With considerable experience in the field, ConfigureTek’s specialists, Anu Rao and Brian Wong demonstrated a proven approach to compliance and configuration management. They focused on adding policy-level context to the data already in the CMDB to deliver actionable results to stakeholders across the organization. Practice Lead-Enterprise Security, Brian Wong, demonstrated how to leverage CMS Portfolio to improve stability of the environment and enable delivery of standardized services. He highlighted the opportunities that HP Configuration Manager gives to IT Departments, such as simplification of interface for viewing and managing various policies, standardization of IT configurations, creation and enforcement of baseline and topological policies, promotion of better IT management processes that adhere to compliance requirements.

The audience was able to understand how the solution addresses day-to-day challenges faced by application owners, compliance managers, and others within the organization to simplify their work and ensure their SOX and PCI compliance. The webinar culminated with an overview of ConfigureTek’s 30 DAY Quick-start solution which includes deployment of Configuration Manager, policy management dashboard, configuration of 5 policies, and environmental scans across CI types.

The ConfigureTek team would like to thank all participants of the webinar for your attention.
